Description
Southern Beech (Nothofagus gunii) is Tasmania’s only native deciduous tree. Every autumn, when the green of the leaves gives way to yellow, orange and brown, this short period is known as “the turning of the ‘fagus”. It is well worth the trip to Tasmania’s high country to see this phenomenon.
